Luiz Carlos Trabuco Cappi graduated from the University of Sao Paulo with a degree in philosophy. Luiz Carlos Trabuco Cappi began his over 40 year career at Badesco in his birth city Marilia in 1969. Luiz Carlos Trabuco Cappi was a bank clerk in Marilia until 1971.

In 1971 Luiz Carlos Trabuco Cappi moved to Sao Paulo and continued his path to the top. It was in in 1984 Mr. Trabuco Cappi became the director of marketing. It was during the 1980s, under the leadership of Luiz Carlos Trabuco Cappi as the director of marketing, Bandesco’s saw its relationship with the press significantly improve. Luiz Carlos Trabuco Cappi understood the importance of gaining a positive reputation as being open to the public, would gain the trust of the people and increase their bottom line.

Luiz Carlos Trabuco Cappi in 1992, would go on to become the Executive Director and President of Bradesco’s Private Pension Company, a position he would hold for six years until 1998. Later in 1999 Luiz Carlos Trabuco Cappi became both the Chief Executive of Bradesco, and Vice President. Mr. Luiz Carlos Trabuco Cappi would serve as Chief Executive from 1999-2005. Luiz would also during 2003 become the President of Bradesco Seguros, the insurance division of the company, a title he holds today.

Bradesco Seguros’s headquarters are in Rio de Janeiro, home of the Christ the Redeemer Statue, one of the new Seven Wonders of the World. Luiz Carlos Trabuco Cappi played a significant role in adding Christ the Redeemer Statue added to the list of the new Seven Wonders of the World. Mr. Trabuco Cappi coined the phrase “Vote for Christ”, which lead to the significant momentum needed to get the needed votes to make the list.


It was during Luiz Carlos Trabuco Cappi’s time as president of Bradesco Seguros, Bradesco would see its size double. Luiz Carlos Trabuco Cappi was able to consolidate the leadership and increase Bradesco Seguros’s market share from 25% to 35%. Bradesco Seguros is now the largest insurance company in Brazil.

As the Bradesco’s current President, Luiz Carlos Trabuco Cappi has lead the company to experience significant and continued growth. Luiz Carlo Trabuco Cappi has worked his way up through the ranks to where he is today, and it is this unique path that gives him a prospective on the intricacies of the business unmatched by anyone else. Mr. Luiz Carlos Trabuco Cappi refers to insurance as the sector that acts as an extension of the State, and is fundamental to maintaining social welfare.

In addition to leading Bradesco, Luiz Carlos Trabuco Cappi is also the leader of FenaSaude, the National Federation of Supplementary Health according to The National Federation of Supplementary Health, was founded in 1967, and is professional organization that represents the Brazilian banking sector.

FenaSaude currently composed of 119 of the 164 banks in Brazil. As of 2005 FenaSaude represented 95% of the total assets in the system. The family man, is married and the father of three children, has experienced unparalleled success in both his personal and professional life.
