Paul Herdsman is a world renowned entrepreneur, and recently did an interview where he explained how his hobbies impacted not only his life, but his ability to do business. It the interview Paul states that he strives to go both golfing and fishing at least once a week. Paul views this as a kind of self-care, where he can escape the stress and tensions common in his business life.

These activities give him a chance to decompress, which positively affects his mentality. Paul points out that one of his favorite qualities of both fishing and golfing is that either activity can be equally enjoyable alone or with company. This affords Paul the opportunity to share the experience with his family and potential business partners while also offering solace whenever the mood strikes him.

When asked if he enjoyed the competitive sides of either sport, Paul Herdsman admitted that golf represented a special spot in his life reserved for relaxation. However, fishing tournaments were at one point a very large part of Paul’s life. The experienced businessman explained that the competitive side to fishing allowed him to apply the business model outside of the business setting.

According to Paul, fishing tournaments require a tremendous amount of preparations as feel as on demand problem solving skills. In a tournament time is limited.
